C-Board Films undertake all
types of video production. Most notably, we recently
completed a one-hour documentary for TG4.
'Inis Airc,
Bás Oileáin' ('Inishark, Death of an Island') tells
the story of the last years of Inishark off the Galway
coast and the evacuation of its last 25 inhabitants in
1960.
This has aired twice on TG4, to a terrific audience
response, and was the winner of a Galway County Arts Award
for excellence. The Derek Mooney show on RTÉ Radio One
dedicated a half hour segment to the film and it received
two-page spreads in the Daily Mail and Connacht Tribune
newspapers. It has been
screened at the 2008 Dublin Stranger than Fiction
documentary showcase as well
as other film festivals as far afield as Seattle, Savannah
Georgia and the Hebrides! A DVD release is planned for the
near future and it will be available for sale on this site.
We also undertake various other types of production, for
businesses and individuals, and approach them with the same
attention to high production standards. Given our primary
interest in documentary story projects, we endeavour to
bring an engaging, narrative aesthetic to all our
productions.
We are available to record sports, conferences, weddings...
Even small jobs such as VHS to DVD and other format
conversions, home movie transfers and short edits etc are
also welcome.
