Our wedding cameraman has several years experience of filming weddings for one of Dublin's busiest wedding videography companies. That background is combined with C-Board's commitment to documentary story-telling, utilising modern digital technology to produce evocative movies of a couple's big day. We shoot on a three-chip DV camera, a model that is preferred worldwide in documentary and digital feature film production. They are small and unimposing, and capable of recording in low light, all welcome features of today's fast evolving digital video production landscape.
Unobtrusive is the key word in our way of recording weddings and we adopt the approach that is commonly referred to as 'fly on the wall'. The happy couple and their guests will not be 'directed' or asked to pose this way or that by the videographer. The camera is there to capture the day in as candid and natural a fashion as is possible. To that end, there are no bright lights pointed at, or radio microphones wired up to the participants. A high end Sennheiser shotgun microphone, a staple model of television and documentary production, is mounted on the camera to record the sound.

We do our best to be flexible and encourage you to get in touch so we can tailor a package to suit. The following is our general guide price. The main package covers the day from the church to the first dance of the bride and groom. We start with the excitement and anticipation of the day ahead as the guests arrive and fill the church. The ceremony, photographs, reception mingling and formalities of cake-cutting and speeches are all captured in detail, ending with the couple's first dance as husband and wife and twenty minutes of couple and guests dancing. The latest end time for filming in this package is 10 pm and the rate is â‚?100.

extras:
Any requested
additional filming, beyond the main package, can be
arranged at an agreed hourly rate. This applies if we are
required to attend the bride's home or hotel suite as she
prepares prior to departing for the church, or to stay on
for later filming of the night's dancing and celebrations.

In
this era of iPods, online video and 3G mobiles, we can also
output selected clips (such as the highlights sequence) in
various compression formats, if desired. Please get in
touch to discuss the various options, details and
costs.
DVD presentation:
The wedding day
footage is edited with on-screen titles and a soundtrack of
appropriate music and songs. The couple are welcome to
supply or suggest their own tracks to be included. If they
wish, they may also provide a selection of photographs
which will be included as a stills montage at the start of
the DVD. A full disc menu fronts the presentation, with
chapter points to enable the viewer navigate to the various
parts of the day.
At the end of the main edit, a stylised highlights reel is
included, cut to an appropriate piece of music. This may
feature slow-motion, and black and white or sepia effects,
to close out the DVD with a warm, evocative look back over
a memorable day. Both the highlights reel and the photo
montage option are included in the main package price. The
disc is presented with a printed on-disc label and in a
full colour sleeve featuring still images from the day.
Four DVDs are provided, with extra copies
available on request. Please
be aware that the PAL format discs used in Ireland may not
be fully compatible with American NTSC format DVD players.
We can provide additional copies in the NTSC
format. A full
quality master tape
of the edit can also be
supplied on DV tape if required.
Booking:
A
booking form can be downloaded from this site. We
recommend you give us a ring first to chat about your
needs. If you decide to book us, please print out, fill
in the form and post it to us at the address below. We
request a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total
agreed fee to be included with the booking form. We ask
that the balance of the payment be paid prior to or on
the day. It is estimated that the DVDs will be ready for
mailing or collection within four to six weeks from the
wedding day. This may be subject to change, depending on
our workload, and we will advise accordingly if that
occurs.
